My massage career began 19 years ago I  enrolled in the Sarasota School of Massage.  I had always had an interest in the helping professions and was was excited to be in school again. ( My last University experience had been at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, NM where I pursued a degree in Music Therapy.)

While I was at  massage school, I organized a group of students to attend a seminar taught by Judy Walker now know as Judy DeLany titled "Neuromuscular Therapy". That seminar was very motivational and became crucial in my decision to specialize in helping those with pain and injuries. 

I was persistent in my desire to work and train with Judy.  I called her and visited with her many times prior to getting the  wonderful opportunity to observe her in sessions and later to assist with her clients. I progressed as a therapist and was soon  asked by Judy to help teach at her seminars which became a  unique learning experience for me. The students constantly challenged me with their questions which helped me become a better therapist and teacher. I believe that if you want to learn, you should teach. 

Three years later, I  met Travis Skaggs, who later became my husband and business partner. We opened our own clinic, Advanced Soft Tissue Therapy, in the spring of 1994.  The clinic has been a wonderful success for all these years thanks to our great clients.
